Thursday Thirteen - 13 Things I'm Thankful For...

On a day when you've gotten way to much snow, you've dealt with your 5 year old being home from school, your hubby didn't want to shovel and came in swearing about the piece of shit snow blower you have to take time to remember all of the wonderful blessings you have been given, here's my list.

1. The computer that kept Hope busy all afternoon and will keep her busy tomorrow afternoon (no school tomorrow either). In the last 8 days she has had 3 snow days.

2. The piece of shit snowblower, because without a snowblower Joe would have had to shovel all that snow by hand and would have probably had a heart attack. I'm not sure if an ambulance could get down our street yet.

3. Our house which is taking a beating with the weather this year and still keeps us warm and dry.

4. Electricity which has gone out twice today and browned out a few times but has popped right back on just in time for me to set the clocks again...

5. The two drops of milk we have left at the bottom of the container, for if we didn't have two drops we would have no drops.

6. The hubs who is trying to quit smoking and had to drive in this mess and then shovel and deal with me...man, the new swear words he must have come up with while he was out snowblowing.

7. My stash of pantry items and freezer items that have kept us in food all day, including chocolate chip cookies. Thank you Market Day.

8. My cat who needs a name so instead of screaming "Hey, you cat, stop that" I can scream something else. She has kept me on my toes today climbing all over everything. Right now she is eating my cereal, first she is rubbing it all over the leather couch......

9. I'm thankful for Hope who woke Joe up when I didn't want him to fall asleep. Ok, I'm evil I admit it.

10. Snow because it makes everything white and beautiful, just like the jacket they are going to bring when they take me away to the funny farm...maybe there won't be snow there.

11. Insurance to pay for said visit to the funny farm.

12. Chocolate, lots and lots of chocolate.

13. The fact that I get to get up tomorrow and start all over again...should I really be thankful for that? Hmm, maybe this list should only be 12 things long.

Gotta go the cat just sneezed a booger on my screen...yuck!!
